There are several types of recreational vehicles available for different travelers. One of the first forms of RVing and still popular today: the caravan. The caravan is light and economical, but that doesn’t mean they don’t have many functions. Campers can make or undo an RV trip because they are small and need every inch of available space to make it work. Here are five of the best campers on the market and why you should consider each.
Aliner Classic
If you like camping and anything with style A, you’ll love the Aliner: an emerging caravan a-Frame style that does things differently. One of the first things that stand out about the Aliner is its compact size and low weight. The standard Aliner Classic records more than a ton, which means you don’t have to have a big truck to transport it, hell, you don’t even need a truck, as the Aliner can be pulled with many cars of different standard sizes, including station wagons, minivans, and SUV.
The front and rear diamond plates protect the underbelly from rugged terrain and debris. Four stabilizer jacks ensure you always have a level spot. A two-burner stove, a 3-cubic-foot refrigerator, and a sink allow you to cook while traveling, and two skylights allow many lights to pass from the outside. There are several additional options you can choose for the Aliner, but the caravan itself is loaded.
Rockwood Series
Rockwood is a great series of pop-up and hard-side campers manufactured. Rockwood is useful for big families, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t have its share of features and benefits. Exterior features and standard hardware in the Rockwood include 15 ” Rover Mud radial tires, built in the mounts for an equal-I-zer hitch, the diamond plate front cover and a set of storage options.
The interior brings out the best of the Rockwood series. The mattress is padded at the top and in many Rockwood versions, a heated mattress is optional so you can stay warm in cold climates. The kitchen features a residential double sink, a family-style dining room, a giant fridge, and a separate double burner stove. Rockwood options vary by model of your choice, but many of Rockwood’s standard features are fantastic options for most families.
Platform fleet
Campers don’t always mean pop-ups and the four Wheel Pop-up Campers Fleet Camper flatbed demonstrates this. As the name suggests, the fleet is designed as a semi-permanent truck caravan that locks into the bed area of your truck. This small pop-up van can sleep three to four people in a hurry with its queen mattress and a conversion sofa bed, but that’s not all Fleet has to offer.
